Hear The Silence est un plaidoyer contemporain pour la danse et la musique comme forme de résistance par la connexion en des temps incertains. Une recherche de résilience et d’espoir.

Hear the Silence explore le besoin d'étreinte en temps de disruption.
Le point de départ est la valse, autrefois un symbole du raffinement européen autant en tant que musique qu’en tant que danse, mais secouée par les tensions sous-jacentes du 20ème siècle.
Sept danseurs et un musicien réexaminent la valse et déconstruisent cette forme de danse.
À la recherche de résilience collective à travers de la reconstruction avec des débris, de nouvelles compositions et des parallèles avec le présent émergent.

'Ravel a révolutionné la valse viennoise de manière apocalyptique. À son tour, Demoustier déconstruit et réassemble la danse de couple, mais de manière beaucoup plus minimaliste. Elle contrebalance la grandiloquence de Ravel par des silences abrupts et des corps immobiles. Ce contraste révèle son excellent sens du drame.'

Mais au-delà de la dénonciation, la chorégraphie de Zoë Demoustier propose un espace alternatif. Elle rappelle que l’art peut être propagande ou critique, mais aussi refuge. Créer et danser ensemble devient une manière de vivre le présent autrement.'
