Selma and Sofiane Ouissi are brother and sister from Tunis, where they set up the Dream City arts festival in the medina. In Le Moindre Geste they go in search of what connects people across language barriers and other differences. They focus on the body, an archive of lived experiences which tells a story. Le Moindre Geste invites to listen in a different way, to the small gesture between the words.
Le Moindre Geste is a series of unheard life stories that Selma and Sofiane Ouissi have gathered during meetings in Ghent, Brussels, Metz and Marseille over the past five years. Each story is the score for a collective movement. Each performance is different: each time a group of local participants embody two different life stories.
Le Moindre Geste is simultaneously poetic and political. Selma and Sofiane Ouissi aim at a radical attention for the other. Moving means being moved.

Oordeelloos en egoloos, want zonder de ruis van hun persoonlijke reacties tonen ze hoe de verteller indruk op hen maakt. Collectief worden zij de mededragers van dat ene levensverhaal. Dat is ontroerend, ook omdat het hele gebeuren zo ongekunsteld is.”
