Zoë Demoustier

Zoë Demoustier is a performer and choreographer. She graduated from the Mime education of the Academie voor Theater en Dans in Amsterdam and the Directors education of the RICTS in Brussels. She made her debut with the solo Unfolding an Archive. In the same year, she became an ambassador for Day of Dance from the idea of making dance loved and highlighting other starting dance makers.

Since 2022, Zoë has been associated as a choreographer with the company Ultima Vez which resulted in a large venue production, What Remains, selected for the Belgian Theatre Festival.
Last year she premiered in Montréal with Beating Choir/Choeur Battant, a co-production between BRONKS Brussels and Le Carrousel Quebec. In 2025, she will create a new performance at Ultima Vez: Hear The Silence.

Zoë has worked as a performer and assistant with Kabinet K, David Weber Krebs, Marcelo Evelin, Michiel Vandevelde and Alma Söderberg/Manyone, among others. She taught at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, The Academy for Theatre and Dance Amsterdam and the Kunsthumaniora Brussel.

The body is always the starting point for her highly visual performances. From movement, she made links to current and arranged topics and creates documentary choreographic work. As a choreographer, she aimes to create work for a wide audience with different bodies and ages on stage.
