Mathieu Desseigne Ravel

Mathieu Desseigne-Ravel was born in 1979 in Avignon (FR). As a teenager, he discovered acrobatics and danced hip-hop at a local youth centre (MJC). He then trained at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne and went on to dance with Alain Platel's les ballets C de la B. In 2006, he joined Nabil Hemaïzia and Sylvain Bouillet, two childhood friends, and participated in Collectif 2 Temps 3 Mouvements.

When the collective quitted in 2014, Mathieu and Sylvain continued the adventure with Lucien Reynes in Naïf Production, an exceptional structure, without hierarchy, that conceived creation as an entirely collective process. From this, joint projects emerged including Je suis fait du bruit des autres (2014), La Mécanique des ombres (2016), La Chair a ses raisons (2017) and Des gestes blancs (2018).
