Marta García Hernández

Marta García Hernández is a multidisciplinary artist born in Barcelona, Spain, currently based in Antwerp, Belgium.
Her work is deeply influenced by visual arts, graphic design, and cinematic imagery. She is interested in transformation, perception, and the relationship between movement and visual composition, creating physical worlds where the body continuously shifts between recognizable and unfamiliar forms.

She graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in Dance, following her professional dance training at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. Alongside her dance education, she also studied Graphic Design, a discipline that continues to shape her artistic approach.

As a performer, Marta has collaborated with choreographers including Astrid Boons, Cherish Menzo, Alesandra Seutin, Luciana Acuña and Alejo Moguillansky, Lali Ayguadé, and Masha Kolegova.
Alongside her work as a performer, she develops her own choreographic practice. During her studies she created the group piece One Body Is Never Enough and the solo Que pierdo los papeles, both of which she continues to develop as ongoing artistic research.
She is currently co-founding La del Medio, an emerging artistic collective focused on collaborative projects between dance and the visual arts.
