Isnelle Da Silveira

“My roots are not where I come from but where I am going to.”


Born in Senegal in 1959, Isnelle Da Silveira grew up in Paris and now lives in Ghent. She has been a performer since 1979. Self-taught in dance and singing, coaching and working in women's prisons, Isnelle has always followed her intuition, developing her talents over time through life experiences.

Isnelle is a singer and actress. She has worked and created with Alain Platel, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Mark Tompkins, Jean-Pierre Charron, Dominique Colignon-Maurin, Marylin Mazur, Jon Balke, Kaat De Windt, Véronique Delmelle, Coco Junior, Guido Hendrickx, David Linx, Heddy Maalem, Circus Baobab, Joan Grau, Arjen Schotel, Mathieu Grenier-Benaïm Thomas Prédour and others.

She received the Brukner Golden Award 2021 for the Performing Arts.
