Ida Osten

Ida Osten is a choreographer, performer and dancer from Vienna, Austria. As a maker Ida works across independent and Company environments within live performance, film and contemporary theatre.
Exploring the body as a medium for engagement with societal dynamics, her works have been shown in contexts ranging from club culture and exhibition spaces to theatre festivals.

In 2023/2024 Ida joined several projects and tours as an intern with choreographer Katja Heitmann, performing and facilitating workshops at the Leeds Art Gallery followed by a Dutch tour. IN 2024/2025 she did a one year internship at Cullberg where she worked with choreographers such as Ligia Lewis, Alexandra Bachzetsis and Faye Driscoll. During the time in Stockholm, Ida developed the creation BurvaK together with dancer and performer Sofiia Butiaga, which is presented internationally as well as in several Dutch theatres such as Frascati in Amsterdam.
In 2025 Ida worked with Viennese Company Liquid Loft and is currently creating and directing the shortfilm Mother Morphine.

Through her work Ida strives to create work that challenges, questions and connects.
