Rima Baransi

Rima Baransi is an artist, contemporary dancer and choreographer, holding an MA from the University of Limerick and Berlin Dance Institute. She has touched stages like Tate London, Théâtre de la Ville, MOMA, Oslo World, Dublin Dance Festival, Ramallah contemporary dance festival and more. As a dedicated collaborator, she has contributed to esteemed companies such as Hanna Ma Dance Company, Sareyyet Ramallah, and is a member of Stereo48 Dance Company and Infinitum Collective.
Baransi’s artistry is deeply rooted in improvisation, sharing her voice of rebellion and liberation. She fearlessly delves into the uncomfortable and unfamiliar, crafting narratives inspired by daily observations and experiences.

Over the past five years, she has been creating her own works, further solidifying her reputation as a dynamic creator. Her most recent project, Silent Torrent, supported by the Irish Arts Council and Solstice Arts Centre in Ireland, exemplifies her commitment to exploring innovative ideas and themes.
In addition to her independent work, Baransi has collaborated with artist Mufutau Yusuf on Impasse, showcasing her role as an assistant in the creative process.
Baransi’s artistic journey is a testament to her passion for movement, her bold exploration of human expression, and her dedication to expanding the boundaries of contemporary dance.
