Béatrice Pedraza

Béatrice Pedraza combines twenty years’ experience as a stage director with support and training for socially vulnerable people. As joint founder and director of Les Arteliers, for seven years she developed inclusive theatre workshops showcasing the work of disabled performers. For ten years, Béatrice has devoted her time to leading theatre workshops in community centres for the disabled. In 2017 the founded the Collectif Arthalie and worked with L’Atelier de Mars on theatre initiatives for the disabled. Arthalie provides a stage production platform for non-dependent disabled people

This artistic experience in non-institutional settings allows people to break away from their involuntary isolation and take part in the artistic, social and cultural life of the city. Béatrice facilitates this by encouraging the twenty members of the collective to take part in public theatre performances, opening participants up to new expressive spaces. The collective is open to all and encourages artistic creativity and expression for people with all kinds of physical and mental disabilities.
