Artemis Stavridi

Artemis Stavridi is a contemporary dancer and performer, born in Savoie, France, and raised in Athens, Greece. She began her professional dance training at the State School of Dance in Athens and later performed with the Hellenic Dance Company. Afterward, she continued her education at P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts and Research Training Studios) in Brussels, where she had the opportunity to work with artists such as Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, David Zambrano, and David Hernandez, among others. During this time, she also created the duet AFLA with Jos Baker, which was performed in Belgium and England.

Following her time at P.A.R.T.S., Artemis collaborated with a number of European companies and artists, including Cie D'Ici P./Fre Werbrouck, A Two Dogs Company/Kris Verdonck, ABATTOIR FERME, Jean Guillaum Weis, Hans Karelszoon Van Dijck, Miet Warlop, Hedi Thabet and Ali Thabet.

She has also worked with directors and choreographers such as Jan Fabre, Lisbeth Gruwez, and Yoann Bourgeois, touring with their works internationally.
In addition to her dance career, Artemis has acted in theater productions, including Nous l'Europe, banquet des peuples by Roland Auzet, which premiered at the Festival d'Avignon, and Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme directed by Denis Podalydès. She has also worked as a movement advisor for Kaori Ito, Denis Podalydès, and Roland Auzet.
Artemis is currently touring with Nomadics by Voetvolk and dances in the new creation, Hear the Silence, of Zoe Demoustier.

She has received several scholarships, including the I.K.Y. Greek State Scholarship Foundation (2007-2008) and the DanceWeb Europe Scholarship Programme at the ImpulsTanz Festival (2006). Artemis has also assisted Inaki Azpillaga in teaching contemporary dance technique and partnering at the IMPULSTANZ Festival in Vienna.
